The first thing that you need to check is the quality of the materials used on the player and how it was constructed. If it feels too flimsy in your hand, chances are, it will break easily. It could be an indication of its poor workmanship. Look for a player that feels more solid in your grip.

Also check the storage size of the player. The bigger the storage size is of the player, the more expensive it is. If you do not have a need for over 32GB of songs in your player, then buying a player that has an 18GB capacity would be enough. This will save you some money from unnecessary expenditures.

More expensive MP3 players also have more features to go along their music-playing capabilities such as the touch mp3 players. Inexpensive MP3 players have much less, but could still have all the basic and necessary features to provide you with a good musical experience.
